Full Description

I am looking for a friendly, considerate and quiet lodger, preferably aged 30-45. The room on offer is a warm, bright, newly decorated double bedroom in a comfortable, quiet and centrally located flat. The flat is on a historic street in Kennington, south London - a lovely area with excellent transport links, a great selection of pubs and restaurants, a large supermarket at the end of the road and just a 10 minute walk to the river. There is free wifi and a large supermarket at the end of the road. My flat is comfortable and quiet with lots of space for you to relax in and newly installed double glazing. It has a big kitchen/living room and separate sitting room. Your room is a quiet, bright and warm double bedroom. The room is newly decorated with a brand new carpet; along with a wardrobe, desk, lamp, chair and side table. The flat is a two bedroom flat (mine is the other bedroom and I live alone, though my boyfriend occasionally stays over) on the top two floors of an Edwardian house on a quiet street in a conservation area. There is a large sitting room with two comfy sofas and a big HD TV, a separate big kitchen/living room, a bathroom with a powerful shower and a separate toilet. You are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare, cook and store food and to use my washer/dryer. The house was built in 1902, has lots of character and is on a quiet and historic street near both Kennington and Vauxhall stations on the Northern and Victoria underground lines (which connect directly with nearly all the main stations in London) with trains that will take you into central London in less than 10 minutes. You can even see Big Ben from my street!

Kennington is a vibrant, friendly and safe London neighbourhood with a good selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as a big supermarket (at the end of my road) and three art galleries. Kennington Park is just 5 minutes walk away, as is the Oval Cricket Ground. I moved here in February 2016 and love the fact that Kennington manages to be very central but also retains its own identity. Vauxhall is just 5 minutes walk away and has more bars, restaurants and even a City Farm! Kennington is extremely central and well connected. Kennington underground station is just 8 minutes walk from the flat and has trains that will take you directly into central London in less than 10 minutes, including to Waterloo (3 mins), London Bridge (5 mins) and Leicester Square (10 mins). Vauxhall underground station is only 10 minutes walk away, with trains to Victoria (4 mins), Oxford Circus (8 mins) and Kings Cross (12 mins). Vauxhall train station also has lots of trains that go to Waterloo station in 5 minutes. There are many buses (59, 159, 3) that will take you to central London and destinations such as the South Bank, Tate Modern, Borough Market, London Eye, Royal Festival Hall and Trafalgar Square and multicultural Brixton in just a few minutes. You can hire a bicycle from one of the many cycle hire docks around the apartment to get around zone 1 of London.
