Full Description

Single £500, Double £600, depending on your requirements. We are a married couple with two spare rooms available in our lovely Victorian terraced house in Iffley Fields. This is a very quiet residential area within central Oxford, and our house is a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle, yet on a reliable bus route. The house is comfortable and full of character, and with lovely views over gardens at the back (from the single room) where we are not overlooked. The larger room is at the front, and looks onto our quiet residential road. There is very fast wifi, and use of the kitchen, washing machine, garden, and some access to the sitting room, all in accordance with common sense and consideration for others. Photos: please note, since the house has just been renovated, we are taking new photos of the bedrooms rooms this week - so, watch this space, as new pics will be added over the next day or two!

Iffley Fields is a warm and friendly residential area just one mile from the heart of the old city centre. Although brilliantly connected by bus, cycle routes, or the river (towpath), it feels relatively quiet, and has no main shopping street. Instead, the area has an excellent Co-op, open long hours, with a Post Office counter inside, and a fish and chip shop, cycle shop, international-style convenience store, and a number of good artisan cafés and bakeries. The Magdalen Arms and the Chester Arms are our two local gastro-style pubs serving excellent food, as does the prize-winning boutique restaurant, Olis Thai. Half a mile away, the lively Cowley Road has a Tesco, Sainsbury, Boots, while the High Street is our nearest shopping street in the direction of the city centre. The X90 coach and the Oxford Tube offer regular services to London, from a stop in St Clements which is not far from us. We are near the local allotments, and the river with its towpath and boating life, and a green conservation area. Please note: we have a parking permit system in our street, but adjacent side streets have free on-street parking.
