Full Description

Great double room in zone 1 in two bed flat, available from 12th April.

Sharing with a professional male, right in the heart of SE1, there are lots of amenities and cultural happenings - too many to mention - and youll only be 15/20min walk from the city.

Its a good sized double room with a lovely, comfy double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers included.

You’ll be on the 4th floor of a relatively new development with a stunning view of the Shard and all the city landmarks from your bedroom. From the rooftop garden you can also see the London Eye and BT Tower.

Despite being so central it’s quite peaceful as there’s not a lot of traffic and the windows are double glazed. You do get the trains going by but you soon get used to that and I find it adds to the feeling of inner city living.

In the rest of the flat, there’s a good sized living room, separate kitchen, and a bathroom with a good quality shower and bath. There’s also a long balcony that stretches along the length of the flat which is great for having a coffee and breakfast outside in the summer mornings.

Other features;

Video entry system. Washer/dryer. Broadband/wifi. Central heating - very warm flat. Weekly cleaner.

About me

Im pretty open minded, relaxed and tidy. Im sociable and up for activities, even if that is only going for the odd drink. I watch a bit of TV but not heaps. I tend to work on my side business most evenings. I watch the occasional film. Or just like sitting on the sofa listening to music and reading a book! I work in marketing/advertising and hours can vary - I will generally be home by 8, unless I go to the gym or have an evening event.

I dont tend to have guests around during the week, more at weekends - though youre welcome to have people around, as long as its not every night..! I like cooking but again don’t get too into it during the week. Though the odd meal together with a flatmate is always nice if we have time. And I’m 39.

About you

Age range: 30+, male or female. Non smoker. Basically someone with a similar outlook/interests would be good if possible but I appreciate that I won’t tick all boxes. I would prefer not to have a party animal whos out late every night - I used to be that person but Im more likely to be meditating or going out for a cycle to get my buzz these days. Someone who is tidy, down to earth, sociable and normal would be great!

Other info:

6 months min tenancy ideally. Available from 12th April.

The transport links are excellent, if you need to use them. I rarely use the tube as it’s only half an hour walk into the West End and there’s also a Boris Bike station right outside the front of the flat. But if you do need to tube it, Borough is 6 mins walk, Southwark is 7 mins, Waterloo is 8 mins and London Bridge is 15 mins. Travelcard free living is possible though, and, a cab back from the West End is only about a tenner.

You’re spoilt for choice culturally with a 15 min walk to Southbank with the Imax, National Theatre and Tate Modern among the highlights. The Old Vic and the restaurants of the Cut are also less than 10 mins walk away.

Shopping-wise, there’s the nearby Lowermarsh with the amazing Greensmiths Deli and Ginger Pig Butchers. Borough Market is a handy 15 mins walk too. For real convenience there’s a well stocked Co Op 2 mins from the front door, as well as a parade of local shops including a greengrocers, butchers, cafes, fish and chip shop, hairdressers and a florist.

There’s some great pubs too, including the best pub in London, The Lord Clyde.

And if you’re that way inclined there’s a couple of gyms close by.
