A light double bedroom in Victorian terraced house in a quiet residential street bordering Shoreditch and Bethnal Green. The room is a decent size and comes with a comfortable double bed with fresh clean bedding each week. There is plenty of storage with a hanging rail, suitcase stand and shelves. A modern desk and chair provide a workspace, plus a DAB radio alarm clock and selection of books. It is at the rear of the house overlooking the rear yard, thick curtains ensure the room is very quiet and dark at night. The house itself has been recently decorated and newly furnished; we like art and mid-century furniture. It is a non-smoking household, and cat and dog free. The kitchen is a good size with all mod-cons; new washer/dryer, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave etc. and plenty of cupboard storage to share. The bathroom is large too with a decent power shower, loads of hot water. Finally there is good Wi-Fi throughout the house. We are a gay professional couple, both in our mid 40s with senior management jobs. We are very quiet and clean, and enjoy good food and wine and the arts. We would prefer someone of a similar age.

The area is fantastic with lots of great restaurants, bars and pubs in every direction from Shoreditch to Brick Lane and to Broadway market. There is a Santander ‘Boris’ Bike station in the street – we cycle everywhere - otherwise nearest station is Shoreditch High Street overground with both Liverpool Street station or Bethnal Green for the Central Line just a short walk away. Ideal for city workers – 11mins cycle to Bank station or 20 mins tube or 30 mins walk.
