Full Description

We have two double rooms available from 1 May - one sunny ground floor room with a big desk and sofa, and one first floor room overlooking the garden, with a period fireplace and lots of storage. There’s a large kitchen and additional dining room, as well as two bathrooms - one with a shower & toilet, and one with a bath & toilet. The rooms are available from Sunday night to Friday morning. Transport: 5 mins walk to lots of buses on the Brixton Road and Camberwell New Road; 15 mins walk to Brixton, Stockwell & Oval tube stations - Victoria & Northern lines; 10 mins walk to Loughborough Junction - trains to Blackfriars, City, Farringdon, Kentish Town etc; 20 mins walk to Denmark Hill overground station - trains to Peckham, Shoreditch etc. We’re a couple in our early thirties - working as a civil servant and management advisor (though hopefully not as boring as that sounds). We don’t smoke and like to keep the house clean and tidy. We’re looking for people who want a quiet, pleasant base for weeknights.

The house is one minute from Myatt’s Field Park, which has tennis courts and a cafe which serves cocktails on summer evenings. If you’re looking for evening classes, Longfield Hall is two minutes away and has yoga, pilates and capoeira as well as a choir. Central Brixton is 15 mins walk away, and has lots of buzzy restaurants in the covered market, as well as music venues and the Ritzy cinema.
