The Room
Self-contained studio flat, with own entrance from the lane (there are quite a lot of steps). ,,Has en-suite shower and loo. Wifi, television, fridge, microwave, storage space. Small, but with vaulted, beamed ceiling, there is a feeling of space and character. It is situated in a secluded courtyard, about 2 metres from the back door of the cottage.
The Household
0ne mature female., living in one of several Rothschild cottages circling the expanse of green, which is the Recreation Ground, where football is played in the winter. There is also a Bowles Green and a Croquet Lawn, exercise paraphernalia, and the Rose & Crown Pub is in a corner of the Rec.
Location
Wingrave is an attractive village (with a pond) sitting in the triangle, equidistance from Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard and Tring, (about 4/5 miles fro each). It is known as a Rothschild village becaus at the end of the 19th century, Hannah de Rothschild had cottages built for the workers on the estate at Mentmore.
