The Household

I'm a creative, outgoing professional with a broad range of interests from travel and fitness to performing arts, design and literature. I work as marketing consultant by day, and support the local theatre by night. I like being busy, either by hitting the local gym, going to the theatre or hanging out with friends. Born abroad but I firmly believe that after 10+ years you qualify as Honorary Londoner, and try to make the most of what the capital has to offer, from having a drinks party with the most eclectic bunch of people to cycling along the canals, discovering secret rooftop bars or simply hanging out with friends in the neighbourhood.

Other

Very good transport links to anywhere in the capital, the rest of the UK and even mainland Europe. Finsbury Park benefits from two Underground lines - Piccadilly and Victoria - as well as mainline services to practically any part of the UK. The London Overground is even closer for direct travel to Hampstead (west) or Walthamstow (east) and beyond. All London airports can either be reached directly from Finsbury Park (London Heathrow and Gatwick) or require one interchange at most (Stansted and Luton). St Pancras International/Eurostar is just two stops away on the Underground so, technically, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam are only three stops on public transport away. Buses go to Brent Cross in the North and Battersea in the South, with the nearest bus stop at the end of the street less than 3 minutes away. Plenty of Lime bikes available in the area.

Location

The flat is located in London N4, often referred to as Finsbury Park, but technically Stroud Green. Estate agents used to call the area ‘up and coming’ but regeneration and some well-thought out new developments have made Stroud Green a desirable part of town. It helps that in 2023 the Sunday Times named the neighbouring area, Crouch End, the best place to live in London. All major supermarkets are within walking distance and the high street at the end of the road features everything from dry-cleaner and hairdresser to pharmacies and physiotherapist. Plus plenty of delis, organic/wholefood outlets, wine bars and a variety of great pubs. The area also boasts one of London's best loved neighbourhood theatres as well as a number of good cinemas. To escape from the hustle and bustle of London, the stunning, foliage-filled Parkland Walk for a tranquil stroll, either taking you directly to the nearby Finsbury Park or towards Highgate.
